PAXIS Accredited Partners

The PAXIS Institute accepts application from local, state, regional or national organizations to become accredited in offering training and support for various PAXIS Systems.

Applications may be accepted from such groups as: non-profit community-based organizations, retired or active professional associations, United Way, faith-based entities, community coalitions or foundations, regional education or health-promotion cooperatives, school districts, local government agencies, civic clubs, and other entities in good standing consistent with the ethics, image, mission and vision of the PAXIS Institute. Professional corporations may apply, and for-profit corporations may apply provided that either type of entity is in good standing and is fully consistent with the ethics, image, mission and vision of the PAXIS Institute.

Once approved and fully accredited, PAXIS Partners may distribute PAXIS Systems (which includes materials, training and support), subject to covenants and agreements. Accreditation involves training and ongoing performance standards. Accredited Partners are expected to have sufficient resources to cover their costs of training and start up. PAXIS Accredited Partners receive compensation based on performance in distributing materials, training and support; and their efforts may be further enhanced [if a qualified as a 501(3)(c)] by grants, gifts and other resources by available from diverse local, state and national resources.

The application process, at minimum, involves phone conversations with PAXIS, an application, references, samples of related work or effort by the applicant, documentation of status of good standing and appropriate legal status, background checks, due diligence, reference checks, and may involve a site visit by PAXIS. Once the application is approved, there are additional steps to become fully accredited, which involve training and performance. Annual continued accreditation is based client satisfaction, outcomes, continued enhancement of skills, ethical treatment of clients and staff based on a covenant, and other relevant standards of performance and conduct–which may vary by action of applicable law.

PAXIS Accredited Best Practice Partners

The PAXIS Institute from time-to-time designates Accredited Best Practice Partners. Such Best Practice Partners must meet all of the criteria for Accredited Partners, and they show evidence of the following:

Level I, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5 publication of Best Practices activities related to the Mission and Vision of PAXIS. Such nominated Best Practices must have been originated or significantly adapted by the applicant entity. PAXIS uses the standards for these levels published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Level 1 refers to a program or principle that has been recognized publicly and received awards. Level 2 refers to publication of the program or principle in a professional journal or publication. Level 3 refers to the program or principle having been scrutinized through an expert/peer review consensus process for quality of implementation and evaluations methods. Level 4 refers to the program or principle having undergone an expert/peer consensus process in the form of a qualitative or quantitative meta-analysis. Level 5 refers to the program or principle has appeared in several refereed professional journals.
An active board of trustees, directors or advisors who guide and shape the actions of the Applicant. This board must have recognized community leaders, practitioners, and/or scientists.
A plan for promoting, discovering, developing, documenting, testing or evaluating, sharing and disseminating Best Practices that can be used by others
A plan to expand the Mission and Vision of PAXIS and the Best Practices Partner.

Accredited Best Practices Partners are eligible for a number of benefits recognizing their contributions to bettering the world:

Display on all materials the designation as a Best Practices Partner.
Create a Web-Site Portal, with the name of the Best Practices Partner & PAXIS in the address, with banner displays from local supporters or sponsors.
Be recognized as a Best Practice Partner in connection with any innovations, methods, processes adopted into PAXIS Systems.
Participate as PAXIS Accredited Faculty at national or regional training or conference events.
Pay reduced fees for ongoing training, support and supervision by PAXIS Institute.
And other benefits.

Designation as a PAXIS Best Practices Partner emerges from nominations by scientists, practitioners and community leaders. A nomination letter should speak to the criteria, with names of key contacts, references and mechanisms to follow up. Ideally, copies of publications or prior awards need to be attached to speed the process.

PAXIS Accredited Faculty

PAXIS accredits its faculty from diverse fields of science, practice and natural leadership. Once approved, which may entail learning and mastery of content of various PAXIS Systems, such faculty are eligible to participate in various levels of courses and other educational events offered by PAXIS.

The range of opportunities for PAXIS Accredited Faculty is expected to expand as additional agreements are formed with organizations and entities in the United States and other countries.

PAXIS Scientists, Practitioners-in-Residence & PAXIS Interns (Senior Colleagues)

PAXIS is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge to improve productivity, peace, health and wellbeing in communities everywhere and people of all ages. Talent, knowledge and expertise from many diverse individuals, fields, areas of wisdom and domains of knowledge are required for ongoing advancement. Grants, donations and projects may generate resources to fund appointments. All scientists, practitioners or interns must be approved and appointed, even if they provided their services pro bono. The PAXIS Institute Library mains web-links or downloadable copies or presentations of the works of Senior Colleagues).

PAXIS Institute recognizes that contributions to the advancement of productivity, peace, health and wellbeing by Senior Colleagues may come in many forms or media. Some contributions may be in research, lessons, procedures, writing, song, music, drama, electronic media, performances, discoveries and other forms.

PAXIS Young Scientists, Practitioners and Interns (Junior Colleagues)

PAXIS Institute views young people as assets. Young people under the age 18 may apply or be nominated to become junior scientists, practitioners or interns. Endorsement of teachers, community leaders, faith leaders or trusted adults is required. Approval of guardian or parents is also required. The work of Junior Colleagues, if approved by the peer-review process, will be published on the PAXIS Press Internet Site.

PAXIS Natural Leaders

At quarterly intervals, PAXIS Institute confers the honor of Natural Leaders to individuals or non-incorporated groups for outstanding efforts to promote productivity, peace, health or happiness in communities in the United States and other countries.

PAXIS Supporters, Volunteers and Angels

The activities of PAXIS attract many people who share the mission and vision. We welcome the gift of time, resources, energy and funds to that mission and vision. Supporters may obtain information to present information to their communities, field or even broader arenas. Volunteers may help with specific tasks to spread the ideas to their communities, field or broader arenas.

Angels typically provide financial support for the mission and vision in their localities, fields or the broader effort of advancing productivity, peace, health and wellbeing. Financial contributions may be made in a number of ways. One way is through the Public Health Foundation Enterprises, Inc. (PHFE)–one of the leading operating foundations for public health (an IRS approved 501c3) in the United States aligned with the PAXIS Institute. PAXIS Program, Research, System and Vision Partners

Fostering greater productivity, peace, health and wellbeing requires many hands and minds. The PAXIS Institute has expanding relationships with entities that share the vision and mission. Present alliances include: the Koch Crime Institute in Topeka, KS; the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at Kent State University, Kent, OH; the Smith Prevention Initiatives at the University of Arizona, the Public Health Foundation Enterprises, Inc. in Greater Los Angeles;
